The 2026-27 Champions League league phase draw took place in Monaco on August 27, with Henry and Villa drawing the balls. How the New Format Works
This is the third season of the league phase format, and the rules are simple: 36 teams, one table, eight matches each - four at home, four away. Each club faces two opponents drawn from each of the four coefficient pots. Clubs from the same country cannot meet in the league phase, and a team can face at most two clubs from any other country.
