Scott McTominay Jersey Hub 2026
Napoli #8 • Scotland #4 • Man Utd #39 Legacy
Scott McTominay's route from Manchester United's No.39 to Serie A MVP in Napoli's No.8 is the midfield heist story of the decade - 1.93m of Scotland engine who became a Scudetto icon in Naples. Here is every McTominay jersey we stock, with the story behind each number.
The No.8 in Naples
Scott McTominay's Naples chapter is the rare transfer that rewrites two club histories at once. When he left Manchester United for Napoli in August 2024 - a GBP25.7m deal nobody at Old Trafford wanted to make - the rooftop chorus in Naples got a new anthem. His debut season was absurd: twelve league goals from midfield, the Scudetto sealed, and the Serie A Most Valuable Player award plus a Ballon d'Or nomination for a boy from Lancaster. Napoli finished second behind Inter in 2025-26, and when Max Allegri took over for 2026-27 he built his 4-3-3 around the one player nobody was allowed to touch - McTominay turned down and rejected interest from two Premier League clubs and a Saudi side all summer, and Napoli are already working on a contract extension to 2030. The No.8 is not just his shirt number now; it is the heartbeat of the Maradona.
Scotland: The Relentless No.4
For Scotland, McTominay is the No.4 who plays like a No.10 with a centre-back's frame. Seventy-three caps and fifteen goals by mid-2026 tell part of it; the rest is timing - towering headers at Hampden, mid-season leaps at Euro 2024, and a spot at the 2026 World Cup carrying the dark blue No.4 his country now associates with big moments. He debuted in 2018 and wore a carousel of numbers early on before making No.4 his own from 2021. At Euro 2020 and Euro 2024 he was Scotland's most dangerous box arrival, and in the summer of 2026 he finally got his World Cup - the No.4 shirt our store carries in the brand-new 2026-27 home design.
Career Numbers: From Old Trafford to the Maradona
McTominay's shirt story is a straight climb: No.39 for Manchester United from debut in May 2017 all the way to his 2024 farewell - 178 appearances, an FA Cup and a League Cup in that number - then No.8 in Naples from August 2024, where he added a Scudetto and the league MVP award. For Scotland he rotated through No.2, No.6, No.7 and others after his 2018 debut before locking in No.4 from 2021. Our store follows the United and Scotland chapters: Man Utd #39 home, away and third across 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25 (Player Edition and long sleeve included), plus Scotland #4 in the 2024-25 and brand-new 2026-27 home shirts. Same relentless midfielder, three numbers, one engine.
